Texas voters chose party nominees for statewide seats, including governor, and newly drawn, district-based congressional and legislative seats. Those nominees will face off in the general election in November. If no candidate in a primary election received a majority of the vote, the top two vote-getters go head-to-head in a runoff in May.
This section summarizes the election results of key races for Upper Katy as a whole, and for the individual precincts that make up the geography.
In the flagship race for U.S. representative, Democratic votes made up about 30% of all ballots in 2010. By 2020, that percentage was 50%. While dropping slightly in 2020, the long-term trend was clearly up.
While there are some jurisdictions where Republicans still have a stronghold, that position has begun to narrow. In other jurisdications, Democrats made up more than 60% of the electorate.
